Greg Ovenden is the sole director of Reel Planning, and has over 35 years of experience in the planning industry working for both local government and private consultancy. Greg commenced his career as Planning Officer with Gold Coast City Council in 1987, before working as the Shire Planner for the former Atherton and Herberton Shire Councils from 1994. After 8 years in Atherton, Greg took a position with Buckley Vann Town Planning Consultants. In 2005 Greg and a colleague entered into partnership, forming Craven Ovenden Town Planning.

Reel Planning was formed in 2013, and provides development assessment and strategic planning services to local government and private developers alike. Greg has built a reputation of providing reliable and practical planning solutions for all clients and is one of Queensland's most highly regarded town planning expert witnesses, regularly appearing before the Planning & Environment, Land and Supreme Courts.
